The vice-chancellors of the University of Cambridge in the UK and the University of Sydney in Australia, reaffirmed their will to strengthen cooperation with Fudan.
As Fudan University turned 115 years old last month, it received congratulatory messages from its valuable partners home and abroad.
Fudan is firmly committed to expanding its global educational and research networks through partnerships with prominent universities and research institutes overseas. By contributing to each other’s mission and vision continuously, Fudan is keen on building mutually beneficial relationships with all of its partners in the long term. Fudan is now ready to embark on a new journey for the next 115 years, together with all its partners around the world.

And I want to extend my warmest congratulations on the 115th anniversary of the university. Anniversaries are a time to think back and to look forward. I'm struck that over the last 115 years, Fudan University has emerged as a world-leading institution, one of the most important universities in China. That's the result of tremendous commitment by faculty, staff, students, supporters and partners generation after generation. Recent collaborations between Fudan and the University of Cambridge
January 2020: The Cambridge-Fudan Humanities Colloquium was held at Fudan University. The colloquium covered disciplines including philosophy, literature, history, art and other fields, gathering a panel of experts to explore some fundamental problems confronted by all mankind.
December 2019: Fudan University signed an agreement with Clare Hall of the University of Cambridge on a visiting fellowship programme.
September 2019: Fudan University signed a MoU with the University of Cambridge to strengthen cooperation on academic research in cognitive neuroscience, mental health, ancient civilization, futuristic philosophy, etc.
May 2019: Fudan University held the 2nd Shanghai-Cambridge Workshop on Pharmacological Neuroregulation and Cognition.

Recent collaborations between Fudan and the University of Sydney
February 2020: Nature published a collaborative study titled “A New Coronavirus Associated with Human Respiratory Disease in China” by researchers of the two universities, headed by Professor Zhang Yongzhen of Fudan University and Professor Edward Holmes of the University of Sydney.
May 2019: Fudan University and the University of Sydney formed the Brain and Intelligence Science Alliance (BISA) to deepen cooperation on research and education projects in cognitive neuroscience and brain disorders, along with the ethical implications of artificial intelligence. The two universities have also agreed to made funding available for cooperation in other fields of study to build a comprehensive partnership.
November 2018: The two universities began to offer students the opportunity to earn a dual Master of Economics degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of World Economy (Globalization and Chinese Economy) from Fudan University.
