In the latest ESI Subject Ranking published on September 14th, Earth Science of Fudan becomes the top 1% in the rankings, becoming the 18th subject of Fudan to enter the top 1% list.
Earth science is an important basic discipline. At Fudan University, the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering is the main force in the field of Earth Science, and the Department has been working together with the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences established two years ago to promote the in-depth and cross-disciplinary research in the field. In addition, the School of Information Science and Technology of Fudan University has also made significant contributions in Earth Science through the research of remote monitoring and remote sensing.
At present, Fudan University ranks 166th in the ESI subject ranking, and the top three among Mainland China universities, with 18 subjects among the 1% of the ranking and 4, including Material Science, Chemistry, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology & Toxicology, among the 1‰. There are in total 22 disciplines in the ESI ranking, and Fudan will in the future put in more effort to promote the quality of its subjects and establish top-notch subjects in the nation. Fudan is now promoting the number and quality of international publications by establishing a real-time and in-depth ESI data tracking system and management mechanism.
Recently, in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2019, Fudan ranks 26th in the world, which is 3rd in Mainland and 6th in Asia.
